People shouldn't try to copy the iPhone because they can't stand up to the raw power and extremeness of the iPhone. How Do you KNow? Re: Comments for: "Sprint Targets iPhone With Touch-Screen Samsung Instinct" Posted: Apr 1, 2008 6:36 PM in response to: Guest Reply Without checking the phone, how can you comment? You either are a iPhone lover or afraid of competition~ I like it Re: Comments for: "Sprint Targets iPhone With Touch-Screen Samsung Instinct" Posted: Apr 1, 2008 6:39 PM in response to: Guest Reply I think this phone is cool! Open Source is the way to go! I am sure they will come up with better s/w experience in the final version. pablo Re: Comments for: "Sprint Targets iPhone With Touch-Screen Samsung Instinct" Posted: Apr 1, 2008 6:39 PM in response to: Guest Reply I am interested.... thinking that this is a flop only because it is challenging the I-phone is small minded. How else but to better the range of products than to either copy or learn from a predecessor? Show me the product, then I will decide, I recommend that you do the same. Guest Re: Comments for: "Sprint Targets iPhone With Touch-Screen Samsung Instinct" Posted: Apr 1, 2008 6:55 PM in response to: Guest Reply Actually, this isn't Samsung's first touch-screen phone. Samsung F480 was released last year. Check this out: http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_f480-2268.php escobar Re: Comments for: "Sprint Targets iPhone With Touch-Screen Samsung Instinct" Posted: Apr 1, 2008 6:58 PM in response to: Guest Reply Raw power and iphone should not go together. Well have to wait and see what this thing has. iPhone won't even go on At&t's 3g network. Thankfully this phone will access Sprints newer EV-DO network. The iPhone will be replaced soon enough by better products, question is what and when. Dan V Re: Comments for: "Sprint Targets iPhone With Touch-Screen Samsung Instinct" Posted: Apr 1, 2008 7:04 PM in response to: Guest Reply Since the iPhone (only GSM) will never run on a Sprint network (CDMA), its clear Sprint has to do something to offer its capabilities. The smartphone competition has narrowed in the last year to Blackberry versus iPhone. Other smartphones have all but dropped out of the race. I have a Treo, which is dead technology, and am looking for newer technology. I think this is a good move as long as the software that offers similar functionality to Treo is available. Having an open toolkit API would be a nice offering.
